Choosing Yourself Isn’t Selfish — It’s Sacred

So many women tell me they feel like they’ve lost themselves somewhere between taking care of everyone else and trying to hold it all together.

I get it. I’ve been there too.

There was a time I didn’t even recognize myself.

I was doing all the things, running my business, taking care of my family, saying yes to everyone. and somewhere along the way, I stopped saying yes to me.

I thought that’s just what women do.
We push through.
We stay strong.
We keep showing up.

But the truth?
I was exhausted.
I was depleted.
And then ….I got sick.

That was my wake-up call.
I realized I couldn’t keep giving from an empty cup.
Somewhere in all the doing, I had lost BEing.

Then one day, I made a different choice.
I decided I mattered.

That choice changed everything.
Not overnight, but moment by moment.

I began to rest without guilt.
To breathe before reacting.
To say “no” when I needed to.
And slowly, I started to feel like myself again. The person I choose to BE.

Choosing yourself doesn’t mean you’re abandoning anyone.
It means you’re finally including yourself in the love and care you so freely give to everyone else.

It’s not selfish.
It’s sacred.
